I believe that change happens through relationship. I acknowledge the bravery it takes to seek out a clinician and hope to honor your voice. I use a strength-based approach to foster collaborative relationships with my clients. I will work collaboratively with you to explore your goals through an intersectional lens. My work is grounded in Feminist theory.My style is holistic and informed by an integrative approach to therapy. Applying Psychodynamic, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Person-Centered theories. I will attempt to create safe spaces for all individuals that I serve including members of the LGBTQ community, women of color and other diminished voices. Areas of specialty include depression, anxiety, trauma, sexuality, gender identity, and life transitions.
Dr. Murdock offers clinical supervision via videoconferencing to suit your individual needs. Your supervision will include weekly supervision sessions to follow Illinois state licensing requirements. Dr. Murdock has a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Northwestern University and a doctorate degree in Counselor Education and Supervision from Adler University. Dr. Murdock has supervised graduate level students and proving consultation to fully licensed clinicians.
Dr. Murdock has a wide range of experience in teaching, presenting, supervising, and consulting. Dr. Murdock can provide presentations and consultations for your team.
· Helping to plan and execute events/programs, writing internal event/program communication, developing action plans and driving accountability within the groups.
